Our achievements in diversity, equity and inclusion

In September 2022, the Executive Committee launched the 2nd edition of our “Women’s Mentoring” program. During two half-day training sessions, participants learned about mentoring and its best practices, the challenges of female leadership in 2022, and the different types of leadership. The 9 mentees, from the USA, France, Australia-New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, Canada and the Netherlands, met their mentors and defined their objectives. For almost a year, the pairs will be in monthly contact, with a major objective: to encourage each other’s development by capitalizing on shared experience.

The CareProjects platform, which has been accessible since 2023, seeks to optimize the dissemination of information on Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QLWC) issues, as well as to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). The platform, whose main target is the management hierarchy, as well as the HR, CSR and QSE departments, aims to inspire teams by centralizing information on support systems. It includes general information on QHCT and DEI issues, a schedule of Transdev’s actions in connection with national and/or global theme days, current events, and a database of best practices at Transdev, in France and throughout the Group.

In 2023, Transamo, a Transdev subsidiary, signed the Gender Diversity Charter drafted by Syntec-Ingénierie. By doing so, Transamo has undertaken to foster the role of women in engineering and to take steps to improve the image of engineering among young people, particularly girls; to ensure equal treatment of women and men throughout their careers; to encourage a healthy work-life balance for all employees; and to promote access to management positions for women by developing upward mobility.

Our actions to develop women talents

Our Group commitments complement any national or local actions addressing specific cultural and societal context, to deliver our Purpose to “empower freedom to move every day thanks to safe, reliable and innovative solutions that serve the common good”.

In different countries, there has been various approaches to enhance women in the mobility industry, a well-known male dominated industry, throughout different initiatives. In Germany, there has been a German Network launched to gather female workers from the blue-collar sector to leader roles within the organization. In the Transdev USA, a woman’s mentorship program was launched for a second iteration in October 2023. The mentees who completed the program reported growth in job satisfaction and have taken on a promotion or new role at Transdev.
